Special Release ARAMA e-News Bulletin

CEO Message

Dear Valued ARAMA Member,

The good news continues to come from NSW !

The recent announcement by NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian that opens up the State for tourism accommodation from June 1 is great news and came as a pleasant surprise.

ARAMA has been focussing on communicating the facts to our fabulous members on a regular basis so that we can survive this difficult trading period and then thrive when Governments remove impediments to do business. We have been preparing our members for a back to work recovery and we are delighted with the news that our members in NSW can get back to business from June 1 and can begin their economic recovery.

ARAMA calls upon all State Governments to fall in line with Premier  Berejiklian and her progressive NSW Government.

ARAMA is determined to push harder for a return to work for our tourism accommodation providers. We have already developed plans to enable our members to operate in a COVIDSAFE manner and  we are ready to open our doors for tourists tomorrow. ARAMA members want all travel restrictions removed including the re-opening of State Borders ASAP.

This is the message that we will push forward to Government and we will continue to enlist the support of our friends in the wider tourism and hospitality industries. We are all in this together and we all want to get back to work ASAP so that together we can survive and then thrive.

Not long now I hope

Trevor Rawnsley CEO

COVIDSAFE Plan for Accommodation Providers

Over the last few weeks ARAMA has been working closely with a consultation group of expert members who have expertise in accommodation management and as a result we have created a COVIDSAFE Plan for ARAMA Member Properties. The draft plan is currently sitting with Government awaiting assessment by the health department before advancing as part of the overall tourism recovery plan in each State. The draft plan is not mandatory and has been created for use exclusively by ARAMA members where they need guidance. We hope this helps.
